Welcome to Convoy - an online community whose interests are based in Western Australia, though wider participation is certainly encouraged.
With the Covid pandemic ongoing Conservatives are increasingly excluded from the public square by panicky liberals throwing a tantrum. Exclusion from the public square and from Big Tech should not stop us from our aim, but rather expedite its realisation.
What is our aim? Our aim is to ensure the dignity of the individual. That you and I have the ability, dignity and right to make our own decisions and determine our own destiny. Such free association in necessary because intrinsic gains (spiritual and material) emerge from social cooperation.
There is great cause for optimism as we “are not a small marginal class, but a large multiethnic, multigenerational class containing equal numbers of men and women” Gerorge Friedman united around the ever greater Truth.
Specific goals (in order of magnitude) should be:
- First to provide a place for free expression - ‘a marketplace of ideas.’
- To cultivate a group of creators who represent the community. Those who are willing and able to produce multimedia content.
- Begin publishing polished content for paying members - as a form of publication.
- To publish consistently via an editorial structure which includes elected, appointed and volunteer positions.
- Such a democratic publication ought to be considered a policy group. Such a group will attract and produce candidates and representatives of parliament.
- Such a group could influence & inform a political party toward the ends of the people.
